Michael Jackson - King of Pop - RIP 6-25-09
Michael Jackson's music molded my childhood. June 25, 2009 was a horrific day that I will never forget. Thursday night, I found a large group of fans who were feeling the same way as I was...shocked and sad. We gathered across the street from Michael's star on Hollywood Blvd and danced and sang...holding a vigil until security finally let us over to his star around 2AM.
Photos 71- 81 were taken at 1541 Vine Street. We weren't allowed to celebrate at Michael's official star due to a movie premier at Grauman's (Mann's) Chinese Theater. So, a group of fans went to the star for another MJ...radio personality Michael Jackson. Many hours after the premier ended, we were let across the street to pay tribute at the proper star.
Photos 82- 111 were taken the day after...6-26-09. Hundreds of fans waited several hours to walk past Michael's star. The line stretched past the Kodak Theater and the police officer I spoke to said it had been like that (and sometimes longer) all day.
Photos 114-138 were taken at the Encino Jackson estate on 6-27-09.
Photos 139-193 were taken at the gates of Neverland Ranch in Los Olivos, CA on 7-3-09.
